Volunteer
We are in desperate need of foster homes for the Boxers in our program. Since we are not a kennel or shelter facility, all the dogs are placed in private homes while awaiting adoption. The number of Boxers we can help is directly related to the number of foster homes available! If you are interested in providing a temporary home for any of the Boxers, please visit the Foster Care Information page.
We are also in need of volunteers in Miami Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties to help take Boxers from the local shelters and transport them to Ft. Pierce, when Florida Boxer Rescue is able to help any we cannot place in foster homes down here. Distance would be broken up into sections (i.e. Miami to Broward, Broward to Palm Beach county, etc.). Please email us at info@BoxerFriends.org if you would be willing to help out a homeless Boxer.
If you cannot provide foster care, there are MANY other ways in which you can help these needy Boxer dogs:
Volunteer to transport the dogs from a shelter to a foster home
Volunteer to transport a dog to the veterinarian
Volunteer to bathe the dog
Volunteer to walk the dog for a foster parent
Donate a much needed box of Heartguard pills
Donate flea and tick prevention
Donate towels or blankets for the dog to sleep on
Donate chew toys to keep the Boxer busy when alone
Donate collars or leashes
Donate a bag of food
Donate water or food bowls
Donate a crate or crate pad
Offer to sponsor a particular Boxer's medical expenses
Give a $25 dollar donation to the rescue fund
Offer to make copies of our brochure, for public awareness events
Offer to make copies of our flyer for distribution
Offer to make copies of our business cards
Volunteer your time to help at events such as holiday gift wrapping, or to work our booth at pet expos and other pet awareness events
